Vieri AS (hereinafter Vieri) takes privacy seriously and all personal data shall be safe with us. Here you will find information about what personal data we process about you, including how and why we collect and use the data, as well as how we secure your rights and compliance with privacy legislation.
Vieri is a legal entity that delivers products and services to private and public enterprises in several countries. Vieri's headquarters are located in Oslo and are subject to European data protection legislation. Vieri AS is part of the Visma group and is covered by the group's shared process for handling privacy requests.
1Information about the privacy policy
All processing of personal data is regulated by the EU's data protection framework, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is implemented in all EEA countries.
"Personal data" "Personal data" refers to information and assessments that can be linked to or identify a natural person, such as name, telephone number, address and email address, IP address, images or an identification number.
The legislation imposes strict requirements on the processing of personal data. To process personal data, a clearly defined purpose and a legal basis for the processing are required (such as the processing being necessary to fulfil an agreement with you or that you have consented to the processing). There are also requirements for confidentiality and security, privacy by design, assessment of privacy consequences and requirements that we as a business must fulfil your rights.
Under the data protection regulations, the data controller is the entity that determines the purpose of processing personal data and the means to be used. A data processor is the entity that processes personal data on behalf of the data controller, and in such cases there must be an agreement between the parties regarding the framework for the processing. The local data protection authority supervises GDPR and supplementary national laws.
2What types of personal data are processed, why, how and for how long?
2.1 How we process your personal data
Data controllership
Vieri processes personal data as data controller in various situations. The formal responsibility for processing personal data lies with the CEO of Vieri. Vieri has appointed a data protection officer to assist management in administering that responsibility. Contact information can be found at the bottom of this privacy policy.
We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the legitimate purpose for which it was collected, after which it is deleted or anonymised. As a general rule, marketing and contact data is deleted three years after the last recorded activity.
Providing personal data to us through the website is voluntary and not a statutory requirement. Our forms require certain fields so that we can answer you — without them we cannot follow up your enquiry.
Data processor
Vieri also processes personal data on behalf of customers. In such cases, the customer is the data controller, while Vieri is the data processor that only processes data on behalf of the customer. Vieri's processing of personal data in such cases is regulated by the data processing agreement with the customer, as well as any instructions from the customer regarding the processing.
2.2 General processing activities
Visitors
Visitors to Vieri's premises may be asked to register their arrival with their name, contact information and possibly the company they represent. This information is important for Vieri to be able to monitor who is present in our premises at all times. Such visitor information is stored for a limited period.
Participation in courses and activities
Vieri offers a range of courses and activities where we process information about participants such as name, employer, title/role and contact information. If you are not a customer with us, the information will be deleted one year after the event unless you have consented to us retaining such information.
Suppliers and partners
To document, administer and carry out tasks related to suppliers and partners, we process personal data such as contact person, contact information, title and role. We retain personal data for as long as there is an active relationship, and up to 3 years after the relationship ends.
Customer portal, chat and email
Vieri uses a customer portal, chat and email as part of daily operations. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest, as well as any contractual obligations and legal obligations.
Security
It is necessary for us to process personal data to protect your and Vieri's assets. This is done, for example, through access management, logging on servers and systems, infrastructure management, firewalls and access control.
2.3 General information about sharing personal data
To the extent required by law or court order, relevant information may be disclosed to public authorities. Suppliers providing services to or on behalf of Vieri will normally be a processor. Vieri is part of the Visma group, and personal data may be shared with other companies in the group where necessary for shared administration, support, security and group reporting. Personal data may in some cases be disclosed in connection with a merger, acquisition or transfer of services to another company.
Where personal data is transferred to countries outside the EEA, we rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision where one exists for the receiving country. Where it does not, we use the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as the transfer mechanism, together with any additional measures an assessment of the receiving country calls for.
2.4 Specifically about recruitment
Vieri processes personal data in connection with recruitment. We process personal data that is necessary to assess whether you are suitable for the position to be filled, including name, contact information, education, work experience and other qualifications. We retain your application and all information for up to 3 months after the application process is completed. You may at any time withdraw your application or your consents.
2.5 Specifically about digital channels, customers and marketing
Our websites
When you visit our websites we use cookies and similar technologies. We group them as necessary, functional and analytical. Nothing beyond the necessary ones is set before you have given consent, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time by opening the cookie settings from the link at the foot of the page. Withdrawing consent is meant to be as easy as giving it.
Social media
Vieri has created pages on various social media platforms. We share responsibility with the operators of such platforms. If you visit, like or share our content, pixels are set to compile data for targeted advertisements.
Customers
When you or the business you work for is a customer with us, we process personal data to document, administer and carry out tasks related to our service deliveries. We retain personal data for as long as there is an active customer relationship, and up to 3 years after the customer relationship ends.
Marketing
We process personal data to market our products and services. As an existing customer, you may at any time object to us contacting you.
We use analytics tools provided by Google. If you have consented to analytical cookies, information is sent directly to Google — including device information, IP address and cookie IDs. Google also uses this information for its own purposes. See how Google processes it at Google. We also use Matomo Cloud for visitor statistics; Matomo is configured without cookies and therefore requires no consent.

Some of the values above are held in the browser’s local storage rather than as classic cookies. The rules are the same, so they are listed here too. Matomo does not appear in the table because we run it without cookies.

4Your rights
You have the right to request access to, rectification of or erasure of personal data we process about you. You further have the right to request restriction of processing, to object to processing, and to data portability. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, and doing so is meant to be as easy as giving it. You may also object at any time to our processing of your personal data for direct marketing.
To exercise your rights, use Visma's privacy request form. Vieri AS is listed there, and the form confirms your identity before the request is processed — necessary so that we do not disclose data to the wrong person. You can also contact us at support@vieri.no. We will respond as soon as possible, and no later than within 30 days.
5Complaints, deviations and incidents
If you believe that our processing of personal data does not correspond with what we have described here, or that we are otherwise in breach of data protection legislation, please contact us as soon as possible via Visma's privacy request form or at support@vieri.no. You can also always contact our data protection officer directly. You can also file a complaint with the local data protection authority.
6Changes
From time to time we need to update this privacy policy to provide you with correct information about how we process personal data. In the event of significant changes, we will state on our websites and in the customer portal that changes have been made. The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
